SUMMARY:PhD Studentships in Romanticism
DESCRIPTION:AHRC funding for UK/EU arts and humanities doctoral research students \nThe Midlands3Cities Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) welcomes applications from potential PhD students interested in conducting research into British literature and culture of the Romantic period. \nThe DTP\, a collaboration between the universities of Birmingham\, Birmingham City\, De Montfort\, Leicester\, Nottingham and Nottingham Trent\, provides research candidates with the potential for cross-institutional mentoring\, expert supervision including cross-institutional supervision where appropriate to the project\, subject-specific and generic training\, and professional support in preparing for and developing a career. For full details\, see their website: www.midlands3cities.ac.uk \nSupervisory teams across the DTP can offer expert supervision on canonical and non-canonical Romantic writers\, as well as a range of specialist topics. A comprehensive list of research areas\, supervisory teams and contact details is available here: M3C Romanticists.docx. Students interested in developing a research proposal are warmly invited to contact any member of the DTP. \nThe deadline for AHRC funding applications is 14 January 2015\, at which time students must have applied for a place to study at the home institute of the proposed lead supervisor and have provided details of two references. The funding application should normally be submitted at the same time as the application for a place to study.
