Between 15 and 23 November 2014, the festival will engage people across the UK with innovative research.<\/p>\n<p>Led by the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sas.ac.uk\/\">School of Advanced Study<\/a>, University of London, in partnership with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ahrc.ac.uk\/Pages\/Home.aspx\">Arts and Humanities Research Council<\/a> and the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.britac.ac.uk\/\">British Academy<\/a>, the festival will draw together a programme of activities to inform, extend, and ignite our contemporary thinking and imagination.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Partners\" href=\"http:\/\/beinghumanfestival.org\/us\/partners\/\">Participating universities and partner organisations &gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The festival will highlight the ways in which humanities research can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>inspire and enrich our everyday lives<\/li>\n<li>help us to understand ourselves, our relationships with others, and the challenges we face in a changing world<\/li>\n<li>provide world class knowledge that is vibrant, vital, and accessible to all<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Over 35 research institutions from across the UK are set to participate in the 2014 festival, and that number is growing daily. From Truro to Orkney, Swansea to Belfast, Norwich to Liverpool, we will be celebrating the breadth and diversity of the humanities in a series of events across the country.
