PARLIAMENT, PRINT AND THEATRE IN THE AGE OF SHERIDAN AND AUSTEN
Bath’s Royal Scientific and Literary Society, 15-16 March 2018
Keynote speaker: Prof. Elaine Chalus (University of Liverpool)
The conference explores the connections between politics, literature, theatre, and all forms of social performance, taking as its starting point the careers and works of two of Bath’s most famous residents, Sheridan and Austen.
Proposals for 20 minute papers (c.250 words) should be sent to Martyn Powell at mpp@aber.ac.uk or Robert Jones at R.W.Jones@leeds.ac.uk by 6 January 2018.
