Call for applications

The call for applications for the European EDGES PhD Programme in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of Bologna, 31 cycle, a.y. 2015/2016 is now online.

Applications deadlines: 29/05/2015 h. 1.00 p.m. (local time).

For information concerning application and admission requirements, please check the DESE PhD Programme Table (Les Littératures de l’Europe Unie – European Literatures – Letterature dell’Europa Unita) and look for the EDGES PhD Curriculum in the attached call for applications. For more details about the PhD Programme, please contact the PhD Programme’s Coordinator at the email address indicated in each PhD programme tables.

Please check regularly the PhD programme tables since changes may occur (e.g.: in the number of positions or scholarships, examination dates, etc.).

How to apply

The application form has to be filled in and submitted, mandatorily through Studenti Online.
Applicants have to:

• log in following the instructions provided;
• select the PhD programme of interest;
• fill in the forms providing the requested information and upload the documents in pdf file only;
• pay € 42.00 as participation fee.

In order to avoid problems that might be due to the overload of the system, it is highly recommended not to wait until the last minute to submit the application.
After the call deadlines, it will not be possible to modify/correct the application form and/or to pay the mandatory participation fees. The online form will be available for consultation only.

Please note that the self-certifications uploaded on Studenti Online have to compulsorily be dated and signed. As for Italian university degrees, do not upload certificates but self-certifications.

Admission Board and selections

The Admission Board composition will be published on the web PhD programme tables.
If necessary, upon decision of the Admission Board, applicants may be  interviewed by video-conference (e.g.: Skype or similar tools). In  this last case, they  should provide their own registered contact/name (ID) in the application form and show a valid passport or other ID when contacted by the Admission Board.

Ranking lists

At the end of the evaluation process, the scores assigned to each applicant as well as the final ranking list will be published on Studenti Online.
