DECLARATION OF ETHICS
This statement is based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

PUBLISHING SCHEDULE
The journal is published every six months in the spring and autumn of each year. The publication has always been regular.
DUTIES OF THE PUBLISHING HOUSE
The publishing house adopts a strategy of consistency and transparency: following its own editorial policy, it selects the journals and declares any sources of funding; it also promotes adherence to the highest international editorial standards (especially regarding evaluation procedures, promoting the use of peer review as the main method for selecting articles, the editing of texts, etc.) and requires the publication of original works written in compliance with copyright.
Editorial decisions concerning the publication of articles are based on quality and scientific criteria, and the publishing house respects the independence of the editorial board. The editorial board is required to comply with COPE guidelines.
EDITORIAL BOARD
All the members of the editorial board are experts in French and francophone literature. Maria Chiara Gnocchi, the editor-in-chief, is associated professor at the University of Bologna. The editors belong to different Italian and foreign universities. Their biographies are available here.
DUTIES OF THE AUTHORS
Authors may submit unpublished works that are not currently under submission to other journals, accepting the selection and publication process adopted by the journal.
Authors must always explicitly acknowledge the sources of the content of their work and the works to which they refer; they must be in possession of the authorizations to publish the images they want to publish, according to the rules established by the current legislation on copyright; they also have to point out any funding sources. Plagiarism is not accepted.
Authors guarantee the truthfulness of the data reported in their work and the objectivity of their interpretations.
All the people who participated in drafting the text, who approved the final version and who consent to its publication must appear as authors. Any other people who made a substantial contribution to the work presented must be explicitly indicated.
The authors agree to promptly notify the journal of any errors or inaccuracies in published papers and at the same time provide the errata corrige.

DUTIES OF THE EDITORIAL BOARD
The editorial board is ultimately responsible for the acceptance and publication of texts and guarantees: the correctness of the procedures adopted for evaluating the articles (double-blind peer review); the maintenance of authors and reviewers’ anonymity; the absence of conflicts of interest and discrimination based on author’s ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, university affiliation or political views. The editorial board also guarantees the scientific value of published works, as well as the respect for freedom of expression and the right to reply. If untrue declarations are found in a published article, or if its author is guilty of verified plagiarism or copyright infringement, the editorial board has to report to the publishing house, and if deemed appropriate disseminates an erratum.
The editorial board must communicate the editorial rules to the authors. Their members must not provide information on the articles submitted to the journal, except to the authors themselves or to previously authorized people. Members of the editorial board cannot use material and content of articles submitted to the journal for their own research, except with the explicit consent of the authors.
The editor-in-chief supervises the activity of the journal so that no crimes of any kind are committed.
DUTIES OF REVIEWERS
The reviewers assist the editorial board in the evaluation process of articles submitted to the journal. The reviewers are not chosen by the editors of the individual issues but by the editorial board, which may, however, ask the editors for preliminary advice (but the editors will never know who evaluated the articles).
Reviewers are required to respect scheduled times, to be completely objective in their judgment, to argue their assessment clearly and document it, and to report any cases of missing references to sources, untruthful statements, plagiarism or copyright infringement. They are also required to refuse to evaluate texts with which they have conflicts of interest of any kind. One of their non-secondary tasks is to provide the authors with useful information through comments and suggestions, for the purpose of improving their work. Objectivity is a required standard for the reviewer’s comments.
The reviewers cannot disclose of share the articles they received for the purposes of evaluation with other people, unless they have been authorized by the editorial board. The list of the reviewers is available here.

Access: the journal is printed, sold and distributed by Olschki publisher (Firenze).

Review process: double blind peer review
Average time between submission and publication: from 12 to 18 months; it sometimes depends on the editors of the issues.
You can subscribe to the journal in paper or pdf format or purchase single issues. The journal is available on JSTOR and Torrossa platforms. A three-year moving bar regulates the availability of the journal on JSTOR.
THE WEB SITE
The Web site shows the summaries of all the numbers from the foundation of the journal, with the abstracts of the articles and the biographies of authors (from n. 64). The articles cannot be downloaded from the website.

NOME DELLA RIVISTA

PERIODICITÀ
La rivista è pubblicata con scadenza semestrale nel periodo primaverile e autunnale di ogni anno. La pubblicazione di due numeri annuali è sempre stata regolare.
DOVERI DELLA CASA EDITRICE
La casa editrice segue una strategia di coerenza e trasparenza: seguendo la propria linea editoriale, seleziona le riviste e dichiara eventuali fonti di finanziamento; inoltre essa promuove presso la Direzione l’adozione dei più elevati standard editoriali internazionali (in particolare per quanto riguarda le procedure di valutazione, promuovendo l’utilizzo della peer review come metodo principale per la selezione dei contributi e la cura redazionale dei testi) e richiede la pubblicazione di lavori originali e redatti nel rispetto del diritto d’autore.
I rapporti tra la casa editrice e la direzione della rivista sono improntati all’indipendenza. Le decisioni della direzione relative alla pubblicazione degli articoli si fondano su criteri di qualità e scientificità. Il direttore scientifico e gli altri organi editoriali della rivista sono tenuti a rispettare quanto indicato nelle linee guida di COPE.
REDAZIONE
La rivista è formata da esperti di letteratura francese e francofona. La direttrice, Maria Chiara Gnocchi, è professoressa associata all’Università di Bologna. Le redattrici e i redattori afferiscono a diverse università italiane ed estere e sono impegnati in studi linguistici e letterari di area francese. DOVERI DEGLI AUTORI
Gli autori propongono alla rivista lavori inediti e non contemporaneamente proposti ad altre riviste, accettando le modalità di selezione e pubblicazione adottate dalla rivista. Pertanto gli autori firmano un contratto di pubblicazione in cui accettano l’etica della rivista. Il plagio non è consentito in nessuna delle sue forme.
Gli autori devono sempre citare esplicitamente le fonti dei contenuti del loro lavoro e le opere alle quali fanno riferimento, devono essere in possesso delle autorizzazioni alla pubblicazione di immagini o altro secondo quanto stabilisce la normativa vigente sul diritto d’autore, indicare l’utilizzo di eventuali fonti di finanziamento.
Gli autori garantiscono la veridicità dei dati riportati nel loro lavoro e l’obiettività delle loro interpretazioni.
Devono figurare come autori tutti coloro che hanno partecipato alla stesura del testo, che hanno approvato la versione definitiva e che acconsentono alla pubblicazione. Devono essere esplicitamente indicati eventuali altri soggetti che abbiano fornito un contributo sostanziale al lavoro presentato.
Gli autori si impegnano a comunicare tempestivamente alla rivista eventuali errori o inesattezze presenti negli articoli pubblicati e forniscono contestualmente gli errata corrige del caso.
Per la stesura dei testi e le norme redazionali, gli autori possono fare riferimento alla sezione “Collaborer / Collaborare”.
DOVERI DEGLI ORGANI EDITORIALI DELLA RIVISTA
La direzione è in ultima istanza responsabile dell’accettazione e della pubblicazione dei testi e garantisce la correttezza delle procedure adottate per valutare gli articoli proposti alla rivista (double blind peer review), il mantenimento dell’anonimato di autori e revisori, l’assenza di conflitti di interesse e di discriminazioni per genere, orientamento sessuale, fede religiosa, convinzioni politiche, provenienza geografica o di altro tipo. La direzione garantisce altresì la validità scientifica dei lavori pubblicati, nonché il rispetto della libertà di espressione e del diritto di replica. Nel caso in cui si riscontrino, in un articolo pubblicato, dichiarazioni non veridiche, oppure si verifichino, in esso, casi accertati di plagio o violazione del diritto d’autore, la direzione informa la casa editrice e, se lo ritiene opportuno, diffonde un erratum.
La redazione ha il compito di comunicare agli autori le norme redazionali alle quali è necessario attenersi ed è tenuta a non fornire informazioni sugli articoli proposti alla rivista, se non agli autori stessi o a soggetti preventivamente autorizzati. I membri della redazione non possono utilizzare materiali e contenuti degli articoli proposti alla rivista per proprie ricerche, se non con il consenso scritto degli autori.
Il direttore responsabile vigila sull’attività della rivista affinché non siano commessi reati di alcun tipo.
DOVERI DEI REVISORI
I revisori assistono la direzione-redazione nel processo di valutazione degli articoli proposti alla rivista. I revisori sono scelti non dai curatori dei singoli numeri ma dalla redazione, che può però chiedere una consulenza preliminare ai curatori (i quali però non sapranno mai chi ha valutato i singoli articoli).
I revisori sono tenuti a rispettare i tempi previsti; a essere del tutto obiettivi nel loro giudizio; ad argomentare in maniera chiara e documentata la loro valutazione; a segnalare eventuali casi di mancato riferimento alle fonti, di affermazioni non veritiere, di plagio o violazione del diritto d’autore. Sono altresì tenuti a rifiutarsi di valutare testi rispetto ai quali abbiano conflitti di interesse di qualsiasi tipo. Un loro compito non secondario è quello di fornire agli autori, tramite commenti e suggerimenti, indicazioni utili ai fini del miglioramento del loro lavoro. Ai revisori è richiesta oggettività nei commenti.
Gli articoli in possesso dei revisori ai fini della valutazione non possono essere divulgati o condivisi con altri soggetti, a meno che questi ultimi non siano stati autorizzati dalla rivista.

È possibile abbonarsi alla rivista in formato cartaceo o pdf, o acquistare il singolo numero di interesse. La rivista è presente sulle piattaforme JSTOR e Torrossa, sulla prima con una barriera mobile di tre anni.

Il sito della rivista presenta i sommari di tutti i numeri dalla fondazione della stessa, con i riassunti dei singoli articoli e le schede bio-bibliografiche degli autori (dal n. 64). Dal sito della rivista non sono scaricabili gli articoli.
